How to Sign Up
Registration started when you applied for an account, or
when another user invited you to comment on a document.
1. Email address confirmation
To confirm that we have the correct email address, we will
send you an email with Welcome to forcomment as its
subject line.
2. Follow the link
The email contains a link starting https://
and including the phrase register.jsp.
While you are connected to the internet, click on this to
make a secure link to our membership server.
3. Names and password
The server then asks you to decide three things.
- Your full name - used by the system to label all
your activities, and seen by other users.
- Your log-in name - unique, only used for logging-in,
and never seen by other users.
- Your password - whatever you choose (as long as
it has 6-20 characters and does not include spaces or inverted
commas).
4. Complete your registration
When you have filled in the form, click Submit.
If there is any problem with your choices of names or password,
the server will tell you.
Otherwise, you will see a page headed Registration Successful.
You can now log in and use the service.

Checking your personal details
1. Log in
Go to the Log in area by clicking home in the navigation
bar on the left-hand side of the screen. This is visible on
every page in the main site.
Log in using the login name and password you chose when you
completed your registration.
2. Your documents page
Your documents page opens when you log in.
Click on Your login details.
3. Your personal details
These include your name (as seen by other users), the
email address used by the server to contact you, and your
unique and private login ID.

Opening an account
1. Opening the form
Click on OPEN a new account in the navigation bar
on the left-hand side of the screen. This is visible on every
page in the main site.
2. Your name and email address
- Your name is the full name that the server uses
to label all your activities, and which is seen by other
users.
- Your email address is the address to which the
server sends all emails relating to your use of the system.
3. Complete
When you have checked the details already entered, click
Submit. If there is any problem with your completion
of the form, the server will tell you.
An email will be sent to your address, confirming your account.
A link in that email takes you to complete your registration.

The server will then show a page headed Stage 2 -
Payment, which asks you which class of customers you fall into,
and hence which payment rate to use.
From here you will be re-directed to our credit card authorisation service,
provided by Worldpay. Once payment has been authorised, your account will be
enabled to allow you to upload documents.
